Engage, Elevate, and Connect the next generation of Young Leaders
2 PM
● President opens and welcomes everyone to the Zoom.
● Introduces the Board and special guests
● Passes the stage to Executive Director
o Gives a brief overview of the run of the show
Speaker 1 (Stephanie Han) 2:15-2:35 PM
● Gives 20-minute speech
o Divide out into break-out groups for 10 minutes to discuss
● While this is happening, the ED and staff will be making sure the next speaker is prepared to present
Quick Intermission to stretch and bathroom break 2:35-2:45 PM
Speaker 2 (Dr. Josephine Kim) 2:45-3:05 PM
● Gives 20-minute speech
o Divide out into break-out groups for 10 minutes to discuss
● While this is happening, the ED and staff will be making sure the next speaker is prepared to present
Quick Intermission to stretch and bathroom break 3:05-3:15 PM
Speaker 3 (Young Kim) 3:15-3:35 PM
● Gives 20-minute speech
o Divide out into break-out groups for 10 minutes to discuss
● While this is happening, the ED and staff will be making sure the next speaker is prepared to present
Question and Answer with Panel 3:35-3:55 PM
Speakers with ED asking questions from attendees
● 20 minutes
ED or President closes out the event 3:55-4:00 PM
Key Topics to think about for speeches, however, does not have to be about these topics.
● How can the Korean American Community become more engaged?
● Why should we be more engaged and integrated?
● How can we have the hard conversations within the community?
● How do we talk about race and racism with our parents?
● How do we advocate for our community?
● How do we build connectivity?
● Intergenerational divides and building bridges
Additional Notes:
● Compensation will be $150 for each speaker.
● Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your allotted time to speak.
● If you cannot stay for the Q&A, please let us know beforehand.
